The hike to Steinsheia's 3 cairns is simply beautiful, and it is not too hard either. You will have a forest walk and a waterfall on the way but not too much height gain, around 200 metres. At the top you will have impressive cairns and wonderful panoramic views to enjoy. It is not a hard trail, but it would be a good idea to wear hiking boots.

A tunnel and ruins from the former Flekkefjord Coastal Fort, built as part of the wartime coastal defences. Concrete remains and passages give a glimpse into the site’s military history. An interesting stop along the route.

If you veer slightly off the main trail that circles the lake, you’ll come to a dock that crosses the lake at its narrowest point. From there, you’ll have the best vantage point for a panoramic view of the lake. And if you’d like, this dock also allows you to cut the hike around the lake in half.
