Beautiful cabin with a barbecue area. The grounds are very well-maintained. Use of the cabin and barbecue area must be arranged through the municipality of Schlatt.

The 🅿️ is unpaved and is occasionally used as a lumber yard. A good starting point for visiting the Starzel Waterfall. Walk towards Schlatt, then after about 300 meters, turn right over the tracks (watch out for ⚠️ railway traffic!). The Hohenzollern Way of St. James🐚 🥾from Hechingen to Meßkirch (75 km, 4 stages) passes by here; there's a bench with a shell stele.

Chapel Schlatt Cemetery Church The cemetery church today is the landmark of the Hechingen district of Schlatt. Visible from afar, the small church greets visitors from the steep mountain slope into the beautiful Killertal valley. It is a lovely sight, especially in spring, when the trees surrounding the church are in full bloom. History: The church, which dates back to the 15th century, already had a predecessor that probably existed at the beginning of the last millennium and is surrounded by old myths and legends. The assumption that the current building is not the first Schlatter church is supported not only by the assumption of the earlier founding of the Dionysius parishes in our area and the documentary mention in the liber decimationis of 1275. Some of the church furnishings that are still preserved also point to a much earlier time. This applies both to the unfortunately damaged small bell and to the early Gothic baptismal font made of gray sandstone. This stands at the entrance to the cemetery church and is used as a holy water font. Both are believed to date from the 13th century.
