The hall church was built of brick in 1913 according to a design by Georg Büttner in the 13th-century architectural style. It consists of a nave with arched windows along the walls and dormers in the gable roof, a square roof tower set into the nave to the west, decorated with a blind arch and covered with a slate-covered Italian dome, an apse to the east, the width of which is the same as the nave, and a sacristy on the north wall of the nave. The top floor of the roof tower houses the bell cage behind the arcades.

The long Trödel (officially Finow Canal) is great to navigate: sunny and shady sections alternate, there are few motorboats, a great landscape and lots of aquatic creatures to observe. There are mooring options in the town next to the two drawbridges.
