The bullhead, the “Fish of the Year 2006”, was released into the Wißmarbach. The four fish ponds created in the middle of the 20th century mainly contain trout, tench and carp. Further information can be found on the information board near the fish ponds.

The Upper Erlental was overgrown with bushes until the early 1990s. Regular mowing and cattle grazing led to species-rich wet grassland with meadows of smooth oatmeal and marsh marigold as well as reeds and sedges being able to develop again. Amphibian ponds were also created, which are now home to the common frog. At times of day when there is little disturbance, the black stork uses the area to feed. Various bat species, particularly Daubenton's bat and pygmy bat, have been observed here.

Bench can be found slightly elevated at a crossroads. The only thing you won't find here is chestnuts.
