The Röhrenbrunnen fountain, built in 1840, stands on the Rheinböller market square - the historically most important point of the town. At the same time, the fountain is the town's landmark. The pyramid-shaped sandstone shaft bears four coats of arms of the villages of the old administrative district. According to tradition, the water never ran dry, not even in the driest years. As early as the 14th century, the spring capture established the water supply for the electoral Palatinate court building located in the town. Sculpture made of Corten steel (weather-resistant, rusting construction steel) by Ulla Windheuser-Schwarz, 2010, created at the Puricelli-Schule in Rheinböllen. The iron material refers to the tradition of the Rheinböllen ironworks and symbolizes assertiveness, energy, and activity. The ladder-like connected verticals represent upward striving togetherness, and the ellipse and circle shapes represent unifying force, security, and protection.
