Worth seeing museum in the center of the city of Vilsbiburg The Holy Spirit Hospital was founded as a retirement home in 1476 by Caspar Westendorfer from Vilsbiburg, then pastor of St. Jodok in Landshut. Vilsbiburg Local History Museum since 1958. The hospital church was built as St. Catherine's Church. According to various stylistic features inside, it was probably built around 1400. The hospital church can still be visited today. The Vilsbiburg local history museum – Kröninger Hafnermuseum houses a valuable collection of regional culture. It was compiled, organized and presented to the public over more than 100 years - today in the listed historical hospital ensemble in the heart of Vilsbiburg. Ten key themes guide you through the history of the city and old district of Vilsbiburg. Thanks to the largest department and extensive research into the Kröninger pottery craft, the museum attracts guests and experts from near and far. Several generations of committed volunteers grew with the work in the museum and with them the museum grew. Today it is known beyond local borders and is considered an important museum in the Bavarian museum landscape.
