A well-travelled route through the Sachsenwald forest

A single switchback that's almost like being in the mountains. Easy to ride because the surface is fairly flat and the road is wide. And a beautiful view of the Bistal valley. Where else do we find something like this in our region ;-).

Anyone who drives along here should be careful, it's a steep descent but the forest is very beautiful.

The "Hohes Elbufer" (W30) hiking trail also runs along this spot, which I highly recommend. All information about the hiking trail can be found at the following link: https://wanderjugend.de/deutsche-wanderjugend/jugendwanderwege/die-jugendwanderwege/norddeutschland/hohes-elbufer (as of May 19, 2025).
