In the district of Mittergrub near Allerheiligen near Wildon is the memorial for Ök.-Rat Josef Krainer, governor of Styria from 1947 to 1971, who died here on November 28, 1971. The memorial is a round building made of Aframer limestone, placed in the open landscape, which was planned by architect Kurt Weber-Mzell and built by Anton Liebmann. The stained glass windows were created by Alfred Wickenburg, the crucifixion group by Franz Weiß and the bronze relief by Adolf Zilli. The round altar table stands on the spot where Josef Krainer died while hunting.

The Wildon bathing lake extends over an area of around 9 hectares and lies at the foot of the historic town center. From the lake you have a wonderful view of the picturesque parish church and the lush green of the Wildoner Schlossberg. It takes around 10 minutes to walk from the Wildon train station to the swimming lake. The Murradweg R2 leads directly past. Sufficient parking spaces are available for guests arriving by car.
