The magnificent viewpoint above Biberbach is also beautifully decorated as a rest area with a wooden pear "Heart of the Mostviertel" and a panorama board 👍

Although the cross is located in a private garden, the sight is still pleasing!

The current cross at Kicking 104, erected in 2003, is the third known to have been erected at this location. The first, a picture cross depicting the Holy Trinity, is already marked on the military map from 1870. It stood slightly offset at the old road towards Wiesenreith, presumably erected by the Dieminger family, who farmed the farm from 1796 to 1867. At that time, the family had to endure several severe blows of fate. The previous cross – a simple wooden cross without a corpus – was erected in the house garden around 1970 by Hermann Stiefelbauer. On May 20, 2003, the new cross was finally blessed by Biberbach pastor P. Aegid Ritt. It was donated by the children and children-in-law of the Stiefelbauer family. The present cross is an artfully crafted box cross with a shingle roof and a finely designed cast corpus by Eduard Oberländer (St. Georgen/Klaus) – so three-dimensional that it appears as if it were carved.

Directly on the L6204 country road opposite Kromos stands a small but very stylish place of worship: the Kromos Chapel. It was built in 1954 by the then owners, Heinrich and Leopoldine Ruckensteiner-Hörndlhuber. Master builder Graschopf from Seitenstetten transformed it into a particularly harmonious structure with lovingly integrated stylistic elements. The interior measures 180 x 160 cm, is made of concrete, and paved with a smooth, reddish screed. A green arrangement adorns the floor. At its center stands an almost life-size statue of Fatima in a semicircular niche. The entrance is protected by an ornate grille made from old stove parts from a farmhouse in Willersdorf. The round-arched door, supported by conical columns with rectangular capitals, lends the chapel a distinctive architectural character. The porch extends 80 cm forward, the roof begins at a height of 270 cm and ends at a total height of around 4 m with a hipped roof over the rear wall – without a brick gable, as the statue niche already defines the round shape. A lovely addition: the space in front of the portal is paved with old stone slabs, which were once used as "stone graters" in cider pressing. This chapel is a token of gratitude: Heinrich Ruckensteiner, son of the then mayor, had it built after his safe return from war and captivity.

A very special Christian field monument can be found on the farm track up to Gehartsberg, just behind the Obergrübl house at the edge of the forest: the Tree Trunk Madonna. A romantic place of worship has been created there – with a small platform framed by natural stone, a bench, and an impressive Madonna carved directly from the mighty tree trunk. When the large linden tree had to be felled, Heribert and Ernestine Leitner from the Obergrübl farm (house number 213) already had the idea of creating something permanent there. The tree was felled at a height of about 3.5 meters – and from the remaining trunk, this unique Madonna was created in the middle of nature.
