The parish already existed in the Middle Ages. The church was first mentioned in documents in 1419. The current building dates from the 18th century. It was restored in 1826. The church was extended in 1928, restored in 1956 and extended and rebuilt again in 1973/74.

The Deutschkreutz parish church is a church in which Anton Lehmden was involved in the design. Anton Lehmden provided all the designs for the large-scale renovation work in the church, the outdoor facilities with the staircase, the obelisk and the baroque gable, which is decorated with a mosaic by the artist "ARCHE NOAH".
