Before this small sacred monument – with the special dedication as a CROSS OF PEACE – I would like to offer the viewer a short text by Christiane Völkel, who describes the letter of the Apostle Paul to the community in Philippi very personally as “One of the beautiful passages that always touches my heart”. Paul writes: + »Do not worry about anything, but present… your requests to God with thanksgiving! And the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in fellowship with Christ.« (Phil 4:6-7) + She comments as follows: “One must let these two sentences sink in word for word! So that’s where all the ‘good news’ is contained (…) And another beautiful aspect that moves me in the second sentence: It says that prayer has an effect. Namely, to find peace within oneself and to walk one’s life path from the fellowship with Jesus.”

The adjacent Sterrenberg and Liebenstein Castles are located in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site near Kamp-Bornhofen. Due to the widespread popularity of the legend and the unique location of the castles, separated by two shield walls, the two castles are often referred to as the "Hostile Castles" and are better known by their real names.
