Highly recommended due to the very quiet location in the middle of nature. Then especially thanks to the good food and value for money. Service is good and the ambiance is suitably rustic, like the nature around it.

This memorial below the Kalmit summit commemorates the members of the Maikammer-Alsterweiler branch of the Palatinate Forest Association who fell in both World Wars. Erected in 1933, it bears the names of the victims of the First World War on a very large stone (with an eagle); later, a smaller stone was added with the names of those who fell in the Second World War.
