Beautiful part of the trail that provides access to a beautiful clear view of the Arenal volcano and the last lava flow of 1968

This green lake contrasts with the rest of the park because it is surrounded by slightly less dense vegetation and a little higher up there are meadows with humped cows.

This park is located here, where you can take various paths to a viewing point with a clear view of the volcano. There is always a lot of flora and fauna to marvel at along the way. Sturdy shoes are recommended, as it was slippery/rocky in places. More information at: https://parqueecologicocr.com/

Park with cheap entry €15 as of 10/2023. Very nice tour through the rainforest along the lake and then to the view point under the volcano. Ways to commit all well with sturdy shoes. although some of ours suffered from the hurricane due to the rains. but the repair was already underway. Highly recommended.
