In 1995, the town of Weil der Stadt installed the fountain, which is fed by a spring near the mill. Blacksmith Gerhard Längerer from Renningen crafted the four copper figures: Shepherd (1999), Dog (2002), Sheep (2007), and Schäfle (2009). The shepherd figure represents Fritz Weida, the last full-time shepherd of Schafhausen.

In 1634, the old rectory, first mentioned in 1535, along with the church and tithe barn, burned down. After the Thirty Years' War, the state rectory (see the old Württemberg coat of arms above the entrance door) was rebuilt around 1660. Within the churchyard wall of this former fortification stood a bakehouse, a large rectory barn (which had previously served as the Schafhausen tithe barn until 1801), a pigsty, and a washhouse (until 1893). The pump well was built in 1898. Until the beginning of 1900, the present office housed the stables of the pastor, who also ran a farm.

The church was built in the 10th/11th century, and parts of the church tower and north wall still survive today. In 1488, the nave was added to the existing defensive tower, and Protestant sermons have been held here since 1548. In 1750, the gallery parapet was painted with 30 biblical motifs.
