On these great paths on the Rothaarsteig, here the Rothaarkammweg, the interaction between hikers and mountain bikers is not a problem, as the paths are almost continuously quite wide. Very nice route guidance

A well-designed parking area for approximately 30 cars. On the opposite side of the road, there are also parking spaces for electric vehicles with charging stations. Both areas can get quite full early in the morning, so this should be taken into consideration. It's an ideal starting point for the Rothaarsteig "Bison Trail" (13.5 km), allowing hikers to stop for refreshments at the Sonnenhof in Wingeshausen at exactly the halfway point. Those already hiking the Rothaarsteig trail will also quickly reach the starting point.
