Het Moer is traditionally a swamp and the source of the Noordermark river. In the past, local residents extracted peat here. For centuries, Het Moer, with its layers of peat, provided fuel for fireplaces. To improve the extraction of this peat, the area was drained, but this is no longer the case. Now, a boardwalk runs through this beautiful nature reserve, ensuring you can enjoy an oasis of tranquility with dry feet in all seasons.

Employees and their families live in the facility and form a residential community together with people with disabilities. The community is shaped and enriched by the many employees, volunteers, interns and passers-by. We are currently a community with about fifty residents. Our 'Village Community' is inspired by the view of humanity and the world from anthroposophy, which Rudolf Steiner brought.
