The beaver trail is a reason to walk around the "Little Mochow Lake" as well. It has left its mark here time and again.

The Lieberose Drying Museum is located in a baroque outbuilding of the former castle complex of the Counts von der Schulenburg. It provides information about the history of forestry, particularly pine seed extraction, as well as about the castle and its lordship. Two exhibition rooms and a gallery with changing special exhibitions invite you to visit. Opening hours: https://teg-lds.de/de/urlaub-im-leichhardt-land/sehenswertes/artikel-darre-museum.html

Unfortunately, the castle is falling into disrepair. There doesn't seem to be an investor with a concept for its use and financial means.

It's a pity that the castle is cordoned off on all sides and is slowly but surely falling into disrepair.

The small cafe right by the market looks inconspicuous from the outside, but the people inside are super nice and there is a very pretty courtyard where you can sit and drink a cappuccino. Of course they also serve cake. When I asked politely, I was allowed to carry my bike through the restaurant and into the courtyard. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to keep an eye on it. When I head to Lieberose, I look on Google beforehand, because they often close at 1:00 p.m.
