The Gothic chapel located in the oldest part of the city at Bolesław the Brave Square is an extraordinary reminder of the 13th/14th century church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which stood in this place until the end of the 19th century and was then demolished. The chapel was located at the southern wall of the temple. The base of the chapel is a stone foundation made of erratic boulders. The facility is built of red brick and covered with a gable roof. The entrance to the facility is on the southern wall. The heavy, stylized door was set in an ogival portal decorated with alternating black and red glazed brick shapes. On the right side there is a pointed window. Above, there are three ogival blind windows, i.e. shallow recesses in the wall, shaped like an arcade with decorated brick fillings. On the eastern and western façades there are single windows between two pointed blinds. Above, in the eastern façade, there are three additional blinds with a geometric decorative pattern, the so-called blind tracery. In the western one, there are four additional blinds, but without any decorations.

Throughout its history, the chapel served as a mortuary when there was a church cemetery here. At one time there was also an altar here. It also served as a church porch. At the beginning of this century, there was a jewelry store here, and currently the building serves as a Tourist and Cultural Information Center under the Municipal Cultural Center in Police.
