Beautiful route through open green countryside not too far from the village of Essington in South Staffordshire.

Esnes Quarry is an 18 acre disused sand and gravel quarry that has been transformed into a lake. It's a lovely place for a leisurely stroll and also boasts a huge stock of carp, so is popular amongst fishers.

As you stroll along the ridge of Bushbury Hill, you are afforded lovely views over the Wrekin, Sedgley Beacon, and Cannock Chase. The hill is 590 feet (180 m) above sea level.

Pendeford Mill Nature Reserve is a patch of open countryside that has been naturally-managed since the 13th century. As such, the reserve is a vital habitat for wildlife, right on the fringes of an urban area.
