To get from Kleinsölk to the Großsölktal valley, you should not go through the Strubschlucht as planned, but rather from Hinterwald via the valley path to the power plant dam, cross it, and follow this path to the power plant in Großsölk. There are 2 gates to open and close again, but the path is a bit bad at the beginning, but then it gets quite good.

When crossing the bridge you have a great view of the Enns. It is worth pushing your bike across the bridge or stopping for a moment to enjoy it.

In summer it is the starting point or transit point for a whole range of hikes, and in winter some ski tours start here. The house is a success all round: nice atmosphere and service, really very good cuisine, breathtaking panorama. (Note: Tuesday is closing day.)

The Stiegleralm is currently no longer managed, but the Michaelerberghaus provides refrigerators with beer and other drinks upstairs for a free donation. Honesty and leaving an honest amount is of course requested!
