Fieldstone building from the 14th century, half-timbered tower from the 18th century, baptismal font from the 15th century, gravestone from 1514, uniform baroque furnishings from 1715

The origin of the church is in the 14th century. You can see the striking, red half-timbered tower from afar. The red bricks of the tower form a nice contrast to the black slate of the tail pile. The nave shines in a bright yellow. A few years ago you could still see the fieldstone hidden under the paint. This church is definitely worth a visit.

If you take a closer look at the church tower, you can see that it seems to be a bit out of balance. Whether it is so 🤷♂️

"The village church in Buchhain is a rectangular stone building with a retracted west cross tower. The nave is early Gothic, around the 13th century, and the tower was added in the late Gothic period (14th century). In the 19th century, the walls were redone. A restoration of the Inside the church was done in 1977. " http://www.doberlug-kirchhain.de/verzeichnis/visitenkarte/vorstellung/mandat/51806/kirche_buchhain.html?browser=1
