In the 19th century, there were several millstone quarries and an iron ore mine in the area around Schloßberg. The millstones were used in grain and fruit mills and were not only employed in the numerous local mills but were also transported to other parts of Styria. The grandfather of the current managing director of the Moser winery, Hugo Kapun, still worked in this quarry. Some historical photographs are on display in the winery's shop.

We discovered this beautiful place on our hiking tour. According to Google, you can eat well and even stay overnight there. Unfortunately, it was closed when we passed by. However, there are plenty of nice places to sit, and you can always take a break with a great view surrounded by beautiful nature. A beautiful spot!
