The path to the waterfall is currently closed. There has been a landslide and two fallen trees are crossing the path. Going around them is child's play. The wooden path afterwards is however rather a danger, as it has partially collapsed. Hiking boots and sure-footedness are mandatory here! For attentive hikers, the path is doable. (April 2026)

Thermal water, approximately 30 degrees Celsius warm, bubbles from the ground, filled with carbon dioxide, is collected in the pool. When the thermal spring was in use, a roof was placed on the still existing side walls of the pool to protect the water from ocean waves in winter. The water stored in this pool was drained through drains for baths and drinking, and was said to have healing properties for leprosy and arthritis, among other things. Only about 10 years ago, the hiking trail was created to make the pool accessible to the public again; a possible new (tourist) use is under discussion. A very exciting place; the strenuous climb afterwards is worth it!

From km 3 onwards, the trail may be interrupted by a cow pasture. Unfortunately, we turned back...

There is a large car park hidden around the corner, which is a good starting point for hikes or for the beach. This means you don't have to park on the side of the road on streets that are already far too narrow.

There is a special wooden tower here so that you can get a better view of the rocky coast in front of you. The climb is worth it.
