The first chapel was built in a different place (more to the west of the current one) in 1837 to commemorate the wooden church of St. Helena built centuries ago on Mount Chełm by the Cistercians from Koprzywnica or the Benedictines from Tyniec. After World War II, due to the quarry operating nearby, the chapel was moved to its current location.

The Liwocz nature reserve was established in 2004 to protect plant communities typical of the higher parts of the Więcwice Foothills and the sites of protected plants and animals. We will mainly see the Carpathian beech forest here. Within the reserve, there is a nature trail with information boards that leads to Mount Liwocz (562 m above sea level), where from the viewing platform we can admire the view of the foothills with the Wisłoka flowing below.

The chapel on Mount Chełm is located in the picturesque surroundings of the reserve. The perfect place to relax. Although it is no longer the destination of as many pilgrimages as before, the faithful still come here to write requests in the book of requests, and a mass is held in May.
