The wooden shelter is in poor condition. The owners are gradually renovating it and are asking for support. Come in for coffee and other treats; the proceeds will go towards renovations.

A tribute to a remarkable figure: a local manufacturer, enthusiast, and popularizer of the Owl Mountains. He built, among other things, the Sowa mountain hut and the observation tower at the summit of Wielka Sowa. A man on a mission, respect!

Always such beautiful rest areas with fire pits, unthinkable in Germany.

On the way to the High Owl, there once stood several huts, pictures and walls testify to this. The last ones fell victim to the flames, so only ruins remain. What a pity.

The tower was rebuilt in 2018 based on the model from the beginning of the century. There are 50 steps to the top. At the bottom, the buildings provide shelter from the rain. There are two places for a bonfire by the tower. From the top, there is a view of the Sowie Mountains, Wałbrzych Mountains, Kamienne Mountains, Karkonosze Mountains, and Stołowe Mountains.

Przełęcz Jugowska at an altitude of 801m. Access to it is by a quiet asphalt road, great for cyclists who like climbs. There are no views here, but there is a huge information board about the area, a parking lot, a bar and a shelter.
