February 21, 2024, Upper Westboro Reservoir

Upper Westboro Reservoir is part of the Westboro Reservoir & Conservation Land. The lake is a peaceful place, surrounded with grassy areas and woodlands, providing a nice place for picnicking, fishing or simply enjoying a nice bike ride through the trail system that goes around the water.

Hopedale Pond and Parklands are highly regarded by the residents of Hopedale. It is a beautiful and well kept pond and park area. It is used extensively by walkers and fishermen. There are a number of well marked trails going round most of the pond, albeit not all of it due to residential property. There are several good access points and a gravel ramp provided by the Town of Hopedale located off Park Street is an excellent place to start. However there is limited parking at that point and it is normally a pick up and drop off point only. For the cyclist it is a lovely place to ride by or to stop at due to the well kept nature of the park.

Although it's not very high in elevation, 571-foot (174 m) Peppercorn Hill still offers very nice views over the conservation area of the same name. The best views near the summit are sometimes accompanied by a bit of road noise, but it feels much quieter when you're down in the valley below.

The Kelly Property in Peppercorn Hill Conservation Area is actually divided into four distinct parcels, but they all lie fairly close to each other. All together, they are made up of wetlands, mature upland forest, and some nice rocky outcroppings that give you great views.
