The Arbutus Park Trail is one of the most popular trails in the Leadmine Wildlife Management Area. This easy, generally flat, wide trail is perfect for families looking for a gentle, scenic loop around the Hamant Lakes and Hamant Brook. You can also connect the Arbutus Park Trail loop with a variety of different trails that take you on a more challenging adventure deeper into the woods away from the water. October 12, 2023, Opacum Woods

The Opacum Woods is a 266-acre conservation area with about four miles of hiking trails that take you through forests and wetlands, and past vernal pools, historic and prehistoric sites. Recently, there has been an abundance of beaver activity, which makes for both exciting wildlife viewing opportunities, and the potential for some trails becoming inaccessible (e.g. flooding or downed trees). Please refer to this PDF trail map for information on the trails and general area: https://www.opacumlt.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/opacum-woods-brochure.pdf
