Rice Lake is right at the start point of the Danada-Herrick Regional Lake Trail that winds through the Danada and Herrick Lake Forest Preserves. This pretty lake is great for bird watching and nature walks. It is great place to stop off on your bike too, just to enjoy the ambience of the whole place.
