In Tykocin, in addition to the monuments and the atmospheric market square, it is worth trying local specialties such as chebureki and kartacze. Chebureks are large, crispy dumplings fried in deep fat, usually stuffed with meat, onion and spices, inspired by Tatar cuisine, which has influenced this region. Kartacze, on the other hand, are large potato dumplings stuffed with meat, usually served with onion and bacon, filling and ideal after an intensive bike ride.

Quite well preserved shelter. Good access. In places near the shelter there is barbed wire in the grass so it is worth watching your step.

Unfortunately, these facilities are not open to the public, but many people enter them despite warning signs prohibiting entry. That's why I took the photos from a distance.

Here we started our short bicycle trip around BPN. On the left, there is a beach on the Biebrza River, a camping site and sports fields. In front of us is the bridge over the Biebrza River in Goniądz and the road to Wólka Piaseczna, where you can then reach DK 65 (Białystok-Ełk).

Great camping site. There are a lot of covered tables where you can pitch a tent and a large shelter with lighting and a place for a bonfire. There is also a bar nearby that belongs to the campsite. There is an old moat next to the field, now considered an oxbow lake. The price was recently PLN 40 per person, now something may have changed. More information on the park information or the course's website.
