Until the end of the 19th century, it served as a customs house, later serving as a city scale and housing various institutions. Maria Dąbrowska Manor House in Russów, located about 10 km north of Kalisz, is a museum dedicated to the life and work of the author of "Nights and Days". Although the writer was not the owner of the manor house, she spent her childhood and youth here, which was reflected in her literature. The facility, surrounded by a historic park, houses an exhibition of original furniture, photographs and family memorabilia, as well as an open-air museum presenting the monuments of folk architecture of the Kalisz region. Access to Russów is via asphalt roads, suitable for road bikes. There are bicycle racks and benches on site, making it a convenient place for a short stop during the trip.
