Created in 1989 by the Natural Resources Conservation Service through damming Crabtree Creek, the lake was created to mitigate flood risks in the area. Today, it serves as a popular recreational spot where you can sail, fish, and in the surrounding park, hike, bike, and picnic. This is a great spot to ride to when exploring the area.
