Emma Pyramid climb

Highlight (Segment) • Climb

The Bovenallee climb (known locally as the 'Emma Piramide' after the wooden Emma Piramide tower / viewing point, just off the top of the climb) is a nasty short and beautiful climb. It even features the only hairpin corner of the Netherlands (outside of the south tip of Limburg).
It's a great little climb to push it hard. When making the descent, please be careful in the corners at the bottom of the descent as they are sharp and you don't always have a clear view on the rest of the road.

Signaal Imbosch

Highlight • Summit

Signaal Imbosch is the highest geographical point of the Netherlands, outside of (south) Limburg. So basically as high as you can go in the central Dutch region.

Don't expect fancy views however. This place is only a small overgrown hill in a place that is already high. For views, go to the edge of the hill at te Posbank viewing point.
Signaal Imbosch is just a place in the forest easy to miss, except for the little stone with 'RD' inscription, used as a foundation for measurements back in the days.

Because of the hight of this area, some 400 meters to the south-west is another point of interest, the Nazi ruins of Teerose 2. Old antenna works for the German luftwaffe in WW2.

Koningsberg Hill

Highlight • Summit

The park forest called the Koningsberg, located behind the parking lot at Rosendael Castle in Rozendaal, has been revived in line with the original design.

The area has been restored, made more accessible and more closely connected to the Rosendael estate. With inviting entrances, vistas, steps and planted rhododendrons, we hope that more people can enjoy a walk in this beautiful area on the Posbank.

The walking paths have been improved and the avenue structures have been restored by reshaping the paths and carefully removing selected trees, while 146 new avenue trees have been planted. These young trees will grow into impressive specimens. The central part of the Koningsberg, the hill, is accentuated and again forms a special place.

Please note: The Emma Pyramid, the tower that can be climbed, is temporarily closed. All routes are still accessible. The tower itself cannot be climbed for safety reasons. This is temporary, as maintenance still needs to be scheduled.

Imbosch originated in the 17th century when attempts were made to establish agriculture on these lands. Imbosch consists of three houses: a former hunting lodge, a former worker's house, and a former farm.
