Status May 2025: A new top layer has been applied to this road. The characteristic deep ruts have disappeared, but the new top layer does consist of large, sharp, loose stones. Don't put too much pressure on the tires, otherwise it will bounce. Edit October 2025: The stones have now been broken in somewhat, and the bouncing is somewhat less.

After this road was completely washed away by heavy rain in 2024, the entire section was resurfaced in August 2025! It's now driveable again.

2025: Still well doable by gravel bike (even with bikepacking equipment). Just consider the potential of mud in case of heavy rain prior to your ride :)

Between Ulestraten and Groot Genhout there's plenty of gravel roads. Mostly there between these wide open fields with nice views!
