Crossing the railway on a path, it's unusual!

Very pleasant forest for cycling. Quite a few smooth paths and fun singletracks. Good in late spring and summer, be careful if it rains, it quickly gets muddy on some paths!

Connecting Portet-sur-Garonne and Pinsaguel, this bridge allows you to cross the river safely thanks to the cycle paths and pedestrian walkways built in 2016 on each side of the road. The views are delightful. Note that routes such as the Véloroute de la vallée de la Garonne or the GR 861 pass through here.

So you have the Sainte Germaine fountain but there is also her house, open and maintained. You just have to pull the door behind you, you will see her old bed where she used to fall asleep curled up under the stairs near her animals. She died at 22 years old. A route was created in her memory, the Sainte Germaine path in her honor, like the Camino de Santiago. And on this path, you will discover the beautiful basilica in Pibrac, also built in her name. She was canonized around 1820 and then beatified 20 years later... She performed 7 miracles, one of which is called the miracle of the roses.

Did you know that there is also the Saint Germaine Way marked by crosses numbered from 1 to 21? The Saint Germaine Way is done around the month of August.

To complete the list of sites to visit related to Saint Germaine, there is the fountain, the basilica, and also her little house where she slept curled up under the stairs with her animals. The house is still open, a place for reflection and meditation. She died at the age of 22; it was only much later that she was beatified and, 10 years after that, canonized.
