Fantastic fast tracks, watch out for the pedestrians, I met several groups of foreign tourists on one occasion, all over the place and didnβt seem to care, or be aware of anyone else.

As you enter the forest goes down and then up, make sure you have enough to take up the hill

Leyton Flats and Hollow Pond are great places to explore by bike. On warm summer days, it's an ideal place to bring a picnic and watch the local wildlife. There's even the option of hiring a rowing boat and getting out onto the lake.

Too busy for me! Interesting to ride past - usually overloaded with motor bikes in my experience.

Great example of the good cycling paths in Epping Forest - be aware that there are also lots of other tracks (similarly mapped) that are narrow, slippery, overgrown.

Some trails in Epping Forest are wide, fairly smooth and easy to ride ... others are narrow, single track and very slippery when wet. The difference is not always obvious on a map - check photos when you plan.
