In the middle of Rold Skov lies Hvass Sø, a lake artificially dammed in 1959, surrounded by a remarkable collection of around 25 different coniferous tree species, including the Giant Sequoia, the Douglas fir, and the Weymouth pine. The covered picnic hut right on the shore with benches and picnic tables is one of the most beautiful resting places in the forest. Shady, quiet, and far enough away from the hustle and bustle.

You will find this bubbling spring in the Lindenborg River Valley. An artesian well has been built at this groundwater source. The winter magic here is also special: when it is very cold, the splashing water freezes into ice on the sides of the pipe
