After a long stretch of road, a bit of civilization is quite nice. Sonderburg is certainly worth a separate journey.

Impressive museum, with a shop and a very informative museum area. Fortunately, this time is behind us, but it is important to learn from history. More information: https://1864.dk/de/

Nice campsite, but unfortunately, I find it unsuitable for hikers (and cyclists). There's a small meadow for tents. There's a kitchen (without dishes, cutlery, kettle, etc.). Unfortunately, at least from my perspective, there are no places to sit on the campsite. I don't need a campsite to eat my food sitting on the ground. Unfortunately, there's no common room that offers shelter from the rain. A better, and much cheaper, alternative is the campsite/campsite about 2 km south. We were hiking on the Gendarmensti.
