It is very crowded here in summer, but it is particularly beautiful at sunset.

The 'new' Protestant church was consecrated in 1861. There is an exciting list of where the building materials came from. This is what regional construction looked like at that time: 1. Bricks and ashlars from the quarry on the mountain in Waldangelloch 2. Stone from Odenheim and Mühlbach 3. Fired goods: 8,120 bricks and 20,400 tiles from Waldangelloch 4. Sand from Michelfeld 5. Lime from Waldangelloch 6. Timber had to be brought from Wiesloch 7. The pole for the church tower came from the Sinsheim forest The community asked if the old church could be left to them and offered 500 Kreuzer. However, it was auctioned off privately for 641 Kreuzer. The old church was later demolished.

The original stone bridge, a successor to various wooden bridges, was built in the 1780s. Unfortunately, it was blown up in the last days of the Second World War. However, the citizens of Heidelberg collected donations and the bridge was rebuilt in 1946/47. It connects the old town of Heidelberg with the district of Neuenheim.
