The most beautiful Christmas village outside the Arctic Circle? So kitschy it's enchanting. And then there's the beautiful forest.

Today was my first time there. The scenery was very beautiful, but the bike path was unfortunately completely worn out. Smooth riding was almost impossible due to the constant bumps in the road where the roots had pushed up. Some of the damaged areas have already been marked. Next time, I'd probably try to avoid this path.

Absolutely fantastic. Hardly any traffic, through the forest, and very good asphalt.

As of June 2025: The bike path has been completely rebuilt and is now twice as wide and free of root damage. Highly recommended!

Very crowded in summer. Recommended for a break at any other time of year.

All the lakes are very beautiful. From Seedinsee to Dämererritzsee, then Flakesee, through the lock, and then to the crystal-clear Kslksee.
