It is wide near the start and past the intersection with Tafoni Trail it becomes a single trail to the intersection of Resolution Trail. It continues to drop down to Methuselah trail near the bottom crossing of El Corte De Madera creek. This first section of Fir Trail from the trailhead to the intersection with Manzanita Trail is a fairly level and wide trail under a shady tree canopy. It serves as the return from the El Corte De Madera - North Leaf - Methuselah - Manzanita Trails loop. Past the intersection with Tafoni Trail (see https://www.komoot.de/highlight/201306 ) Fir becomes a single track to the intersection of Resolution Trail, before continuing to drop down to Methuselah trail near the bottom crossing of El Corte De Madera creek.
