Yes! The lighthouse is open. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. Short walk with great views of Buffalo. Highly recommended.

A beautiful place for families and walks, where children can play freely. You can also bring your own boat to the harbor and begin your journey on the lake.

Running through the actual gardens probably isn't the best idea, but you can still see some of the features of the gardens from the road loop. There are a few trails that go through the garden-section of the property.

South Park Lake is located next to the South Park Arboretum and the golf course. You actually cross over a narrow section of the lake when running the road that goes around the property. There are usually a bunch of different birds on and near the waters.

Of all the nature preserves near Buffalo, the Times Beach Nature Preserve is probably the least visited. This makes it one of the best spots to hit during a run because you're more likely to see wildlife than other people. A lot of the trails are boardwalk, so don't expect to set any speed records while running here.

The Buffalo Main Lighthouse was constructed back in the days of Fort Niagara. It makes for a great turnaround spot during a run, but the path leading to the lighthouse can get pretty busy in the middle of the day. You can also run around the Times Beach Nature Preserve, which is super close by.

Open to runners, walkers, bike riders, and pedestrians in general, the Tifft Street Pier looks over the Buffalo Harbor South Entrance and a few different grain elevators. You can run along the water for miles in both directions if you stick to the paved paths.

The Tifft Nature Preserve is one of the largest nature preserves in the state of New York. It borders Buffalo Harbor State Park and has grass, paved, and gravel trails for walking and running. There is also an access road running through the middle of the park that is great for running and biking. There are lots of plants and animals in the preserve, making it feel like a nature getaway just outside the city.
