September 10, 2022, Lake Magog Campground

Huge, but very nice campground. Very big area with multiple outhouses and food caches. There are about 50 tent pads, which have to be reserved in advance on the BC Parks website. Most people stay here for several nights. You can come here by hiking, which is at least a 2 day hike to get here or by helicopter.

Lodge to stay for one or more nights. Very popular to go for afternoon tea, which is at 4 pm on most of the days, depending on the helicopter schedule. Here, you can get hot and cold drinks as well as cake. Absolutely recommended to go.

September 10, 2022, Nub Peak

From the Nublet, you get in roughly 45 minutes to the Nub Peak, which is absolutely worth going. The views on Mount Assiniboine won’t be better, but on Nub Peak, you get a very nice 360 degree look. You can also see Og Lake from here.

One of three lakes in the Sunshine Meadows with crystal clear water against a magnificent mountain backdrop. This one has a small island in the middle.

February 12, 2018, Sunshine Meadows

The Sunshine Meadows lie on an average 2300m high plateau. Here you have the opportunity to take a high mountain hike with relatively little slope. Wildflowers and other alpine plants as far as the eye can see framed by a breathtaking mountain scenery. Well maintained hiking trail around Mount Standish and the three mountain lakes. Sunshine Village can be reached by cable car from Friday to Monday. On the other days a shuttle bus runs from the valley station. Here a reservation is recommended. In addition, it is best to take a quick look at any trail closures at the park management (online or on site) before you open yourself for free. The mountain lakes are used for water intake for firefighting helicopters and the path is then completely or partially blocked, even if the fire itself is further away and there is no immediate danger. https://www.sunshinemeadowsbanff.com/sunshine-meadows-banff-shuttle-gond
