Unfortunately, we didn't find the path and, as we had done before, walked past the numerous beehives several times. Unfortunately, the bees weren't so friendly this time and attacked us. We were stung several times and made wide berths around the beehives for the rest of the way. You can see that when the bees are excited, they fly higher than usual and swarm out. Unfortunately, we didn't analyze this until afterwards. Otherwise, the tour is beautiful.

An elderly very nice lady Stella is in charge here. From her you get the key for the hut of the cultural association to stay overnight. The paramedic facility is opposite. Simple but functional. Stella cooks traditional fare. A lovely lady. You can also get food for the road from her.

Pezoulia is a beautiful place to stay in Selakano. Pezoulia offers the possibility to relax in the swimming pool after a nice hike. The Taberna of Pezoulia also has a very good selection of delicious traditional dishes.

This water spring is located at the crossroads between Selakano and Metaxohori. The signpost to Kalyves shows and the direction we must follow to enjoy the Selakanos forest tour. The way to Metaxohori allows us to observe the vertical walls where the Gaians nest. I recommend taking binoculars with you. In principle, the water from the spring is drinkable, but I would only drink it if you have no other alternative.

Pezoulia is a beautiful villa in Selakano. The place is on the mountains and near the Selakano forest, a very beautiful pine forest where you can go running or hiking. In the warm summer days you can also dive in a swimming pool or enjoy a typical Greek salad in the Pezoulias restaurant.
