You'll need to be sure-footed! The railings have been replaced in many places. Some of them require climbing, but it's manageable. We never felt unsafe.

The tour is not recommended for children. As other "Komootlers" have already described, most of the railings are damaged or broken. You should also be careful of falling rocks caused by loose stones.

Some of the railings are now loose or destroyed by falling rocks. The tour is physically feasible, but it requires a certain mental resilience, fear of heights is a no-go here.

This 2 Gorges hike is a real hit. It is easily doable for reasonably fit people. Good shoes please! At the beginning the path is sometimes interrupted or washed away. You have to improvise Towards the end of the climb, where it becomes steeper, the path is quite well paved, sometimes even with railings. You can fortify yourself well up in Kera. It's easy to lose your way to the descent into the Virgin Mary Gorge. A cell phone with a corresponding hiking map is very helpful. So the counterclockwise round is certainly essential. The descent is then rather comfortable. But you should definitely stop off in the town of Avdou below. Best in the place on the corner and with the three tables at the front on the street. Real Greek hospitality from an older couple.👍😊

Beautiful gorge, I've been doing this tour for three years now. The path changes year after year. However, the tour is not as easy as described in many places. This year the path "disappeared" due to rainfalls and earthquakes. A scree field also had to be overcome this time. At the end (upper end point), however, there is also a magnificent view waiting here. Beautiful gorge, I've been doing this tour for three years now. The path changes year after year.
