Very spiritual place, combining memorials to healing and athletics, worth climbing up the stairs to the top of the little hill. Dedicated to the Greek god of medicine, to whom one of the biggest sanctuaries was built in Epidaurus, also famous for its athletic games that alternated with the Olympic games for hundreds of years. Fascinating to read more about him https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asclepius
