Indeed, as the previous comment says, the road is certainly blocked at this point, even for bikes: leaving the main road on the right and going up for the first few kilometers, a car overtakes us and then quickly comes back telling us that it's blocked and that even bikes can't pass. Not wanting to go up for nothing, we go back down to get information at the local cafe: people tell us that it's possible to take the 6km long tunnel by bike on a sort of sidewalk inside. A cyclist who has just used it confirms that it's doable... Arriving at the toll booth before the tunnel, an employee tells us not to take it at all because it could cause an accident (we agree with him, but we still want to go through...). Finally, it's possible to get back on the mountain road just before the tunnel by taking the left, as our last contact had indicated.

Turned out to be a dead end nowadays, at one point the road is just demolished, permanently gone. So I had to turn back to the main road

The Muradie Mosque is the best-preserved monument to Ottoman history. The building was built by Sultan Suleyman I in 1537.

The tunnel is currently closed, so all traffic is going over the pass. But traffic will be limited, at least on May 9, 2025.
