Many years ago, there was a small number of Sava lovers that leased from the City peace of shore to put pontoon house or build elevated small shacks. They didn't have water or electricity. They were spaced properly not to intrude one to another. These days it is complete madness, they are on top of each other, all have utilities and whole experience of wilderness living is gone. They are dumping sewer and garbage in Sava river which is used as a main source of drinking water for Belgrade. City politicians are avoiding to deal with this problem until something bad happens. Most of them have houses on Sava so they are attentionally delaying resolution of this. Whole thing looks interesting to the strangers but not to the concerned local activists who are trying to stop ecology disaster.

It is a good way to cross the river, but the asphalth on the cycling path is not so good. If you would like to go towards Topčider, I would recommend using the car lane as it gets you right there (I never tried, but I have seen other cyclists). Cycling path is not very accessible on the Ada side because you have to make a lot of turns if you want to go elsewhere.

The bridge is part of the Inner Magistral Half-Ring, which leads from Novi Belgrade to Pančevo. The bridge is located south of the New Railway Bridge. It is a cable-stayed bridge with a 200 m high pylon. It has six lanes and pedestrian paths and will carry two railway tracks of a metro line that is yet to be built. The bridge stands with its pylon on the extreme northern tip of the Ada Ciganlija and spans a total of three water arms (Savehafen, Save and Savealtwasser on the Ada Ciganlija).

Super trail for cyclists is easy to ride from Ada to May 25. It would be even better to extend the trail to Ada worse

It is the latest Belgrade bridge over the Sava, connecting new part of the city with famous Ada Ciganlija Park. When riding Eurovelo 6, now you can use it to connect to that part of the city. There is only one path for both directions, not so wide, so be careful when approaching incoming cyclists, specially if fully loaded with panniers. Happy riding
