At least there's a small stretch of this road where you can enjoy a decent path.

The manor house dominates the village's single-family residential area. It is an extremely solidly constructed three-winged structure, built in 1698/98 by Joachim von Parsenow on much older foundations. Very well designed rest area with benches and a table. The roof provides shade or, if necessary, protection from the rain. Very useful and the right place for a rest. Greatly done!

A bridge takes you over the Peene here. There are various theories about where the river's name comes from. One says that the name comes from the Slavic word Pěna, which means "foam". Whatever the case, the Peene originates from several source rivers, all of which have Peene in their name.

Actually, it's not worth a detour, as the manor house (as of Oct. 2024) - formerly a definitely awesome biker hotel - has closed. Everything is boarded up, and bushes are growing up on the side of the road so that you can hardly see anything anymore. 🙁
