The miller's house on the Ulrichshusen estate (in Tressow) is a historic building on the estate grounds, now used as holiday accommodation. The miller's house is not a spectacular, standalone monument with its own extensive history, but rather an authentic remnant of the Ulrichshusen estate's agricultural operations – lovingly restored today and part of the von Maltzahn family's successful tourism and cultural project.

A fieldstone building with brick detailing, a magnificently designed blind gable, and a tower with two Renaissance bells dating from 1598. The Renaissance altar (circa 1600): Unique in Central Europe with its original paintwork, six meters wide, and featuring carved reliefs (e.g., the Nativity, the Crucifixion, and the Resurrection). It is considered one of the most beautiful Renaissance altars in village churches throughout Germany.

Mecklenburg Switzerland is part of the Mecklenburg Switzerland and Lake Kummerow Nature Park. The nature park is known for the diversity and beauty of its landscapes and its rich natural resources. In the north, you will find Lake Kummerow and its surroundings, as well as the Peene Valley as far as Demmin. The heart of the nature park is the actual Mecklenburg Switzerland. Here, you will find hill ranges more than 100 meters high – so-called push moraines – and lowlands that were also formed during the Ice Age. The two large lakes lie in these lowlands, just above sea level. The differences in elevation and the open landscape provide repeated opportunities to enjoy beautiful views. The agricultural areas are highly structured by wooded fields, kettle holes, hedges, and centuries-old individual trees. On the slopes, you will discover semi-arid grasslands. The Peene River and its tributaries, peat bogs, valley bogs, streams, and ponds form a dense network of wetlands that, despite land reclamation, remain of great importance for flora and fauna. Here, you can observe, for example, otters and beavers. Lake Kummerow, Lake Malchin, and Lake Teterow and their surroundings are particularly important for migratory and resting waterfowl, as well as many breeding birds, including white-tailed eagles, lesser spotted eagles, and ospreys.
