Discover one of the most beautiful neo-Gothic churches in the Meetjesland region. This imposing brick cruciform church, built between 1878 and 1883 to a design by Modeste De Noyette, immediately stands out with its almost one hundred meter high tower — even higher than that of St. Bavo's Cathedral. Inside, you can admire a rich interior with stained glass windows, murals, refined church furniture, and an impressive organ by Louis Hooghuys. The church treasury features two special neo-Gothic artworks, while a viewing pit displays remains of the medieval church that once stood here. Don't forget to also admire the modern belfry next to the church and the statue of De Herbakker in the market square.

There's always something to do at Huysmanhoeve! Whether you're looking for an educational program for schools, a relaxing group activity, or just a fun day with the family, the possibilities are endless. Try a game of farmer's golf, discover local beers during a tour, or take a stroll through the orchards. Little ones can enjoy the mud kitchen, the tree trail, or other adventurous areas of the spacious grounds. For a moment of peace and quiet, visit the charming Streekcafé. Housed in a beautifully restored barn with wooden beams and an old mill, it's the ideal place to enjoy a drink and local delicacies while playing a board game. From April to September, the café is open daily except Mondays and Tuesdays. On the terrace, you can enjoy homemade soups, quiches made with fresh vegetables from the garden, and delicious cheese and meat platters. (Meetjesland.be)

You can find peace at this chapel. The doors are always open. In need of redemption? A toilet stop is possible behind the chapel. The public toilet is accessible to everyone. Feel free to use it, but leave it tidy for the next person. The Kleemkapel from the 19th century is a beautiful example of popular devotion and rural religious architecture. Admire the beautiful nine stained glass windows inside. On the outside you can follow the special colorful imaginative Stations of the Cross.

The Kleemkapel is a beautiful example of popular devotion and rural religious architecture in neo-Gothic style from 1874 and expanded in the same style in 1894. The neat, sober, neo-Gothic decoration with a beautifully painted wooden altar, a Way of the Cross in polychrome reliefs, and plaster statues of saints was supplemented in 1934 with nine beautiful stained glass windows and provided with a colorful wainscoting of faience tiles. The pillar chapels of the pilgrimage procession of the 'Fifteen Mysteries of the Holy Rosary', belonging to the Kleemkapel, are located in a cultural landscape typical of the Meetjesland. They were rebuilt in 1932 by the architectural firm Bressers to replace the chapels from 1874. Protected since 2002. Source: https://meetjes.land/poi/131/kleemkapel-met-ommegang-kaprijke
